Aim and Objectives:
Overall aim: To empower new mums with the knowledge and confidence to keep their baby safe from fire risks at home and to respond calmly and effectively to common first aid situations.
Learning objectives:
Understand how to reduce fire risks in the home and create a safe environment for their baby.
Recognise and respond to key emergency situations involving babies, including burns, choking and unresponsiveness.
Gain hands-on experience with basic first aid techniques and fire safety equipment.
NOTE: Trainer can choose to bring dolls or child mannequins to the session, but there is a link to a video on CPR.
